A daughter, Lily Reese Heller, was born to Michael and Christie Heller on August 19, 2010. Lily is the younger sister of Connor James Heller born in January 2009. Lily is the granddaughter of Terry (Sovel) and Art Heller. Lily is the 5th great granddaughter of Pesach Fajn of Bialystock, Poland. Click here to see a larger picture.

Deaths

Marilyn Brauer Fine, wife of the late Arthur Fine, passed away in December of 2006, in Florida. She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda and Vickie, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was 88 years of age.

Vera Sovel Flaxman, nee Fine, mother of Marjorie Goldberg and Terry Heller, sadly passed away on April 16th. She is survived by her two daughters, two son-in-laws, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is greatly mourned and missed by her family and friends. Vera was an intrical participant in creating this site and provided much of the information. She was a member of the Fine, Geffen and Lipschutz families by birth, and the Chaiken, Chazanov and Zavelsky families by marriage. Click here for tributes.

Myrtle Koller passed away on January 2, 2005. She is survived by her daughter Abby Hirsh and sons Grant and Roger Epstein. She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah. Myrtle only learned of her relationship to the Fine family a few years ago. She embodied the true spirit of genealogy and followed every path possible to connect with her roots.

Events

Steph (Heller) and Adam Ostrow, along with their dog Sequia, have begun there adventure to different areas of the country in their RV. According to an e-mail on August 5, 2010:

"We finally did it! We got connected and are off to Pagosa Springs for our first real adventure.
